ATOM is run by business partners and sisters, Elliw and Dwynwen.

We get involved with our clients at every stage – from writing board-level strategies to delivering actual tactics. When you call, it’s us that you get.

Over the past 15 years, our business has taken us to pretty diverse places, from the Reuters studio in Times Square, to the Maasai Mara, Westminster, countless community halls and many more places in between.

Born, bred and proud to be based in north Wales, it goes without saying that we offer all our services in Welsh, English or bilingually.

Elliw Williams

Elliw set up ATOM in 2002 at the age of 22 and within months found herself providing localisation consultancy for Microsoft and organising a high profile international policy conference for a Welsh MEP. She has a first class honours degree in International Relations, a Masters in Welsh Politics and Society and a Postgraduate Diploma in PR. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), a member of Marie Curie’s first ever Advisory Board in Wales and was recently invited to sit on BAFTA Cymru's North Wales committee.

Passionate about inspiring and motivating young people, Elliw acts as a Welsh Government Big Ideas Wales role model visiting local schools to talk about entrepreneurship. Her own entrepreneurial vision has gained her several awards including the Menter a Busnes Enterprise Award (2004) and a Shell Livewire Wales award (2003). Last year, she appeared as a judge on ‘Fi yw’r Bos’ (‘I’m the Boss’) on Welsh language TV channel S4C, a competition-based series which aims to promote entrepreneurship among teenagers.

Dwynwen WIlliams

Dwynwen joined ATOM as co-director in 2005, coming from an information management background. Starting her career in the late 1990s as project manager on schemes aimed at increasing the use of ITC in business (and accelerating the availability of broadband internet access) gave her an appreciation of communications in all its forms. It also led to her ‘early-adopter’ attitude to social media and an expertise in conducting global campaigns.

Her career highlight to date was to manage the international We Want Peace campaign for humanitarian Emmanuel Jal, a multi-faceted stakeholder engagement project involving everything from public affairs at an international level to celebrity endorsement and media liaison, gaining coverage for the client on every single continent and in over 10 languages.

Dwynwen has a degree in Law, a Masters in Information and Library Studies and a CIPR Postgraduate Diploma in PR. Her main passion, undoubtedly, is music (mainly hip hop, soul and afrobeats) and when she is not decorating her brand new house she enjoys attending as many music industry events as possible and provides mentoring and support to British and African artists.
